A marker composite for medical implants composed of a biocorrodible metallic material, contains particles of a radio-opaque metal which are embedded in an electrically non-conductive polymer, where the particles comprise an additional electrically non-conductive coating. An independent claim is included for a medical implant composed of the biocorrodible metallic material and comprising an X-ray marker which is composed of or is made of the marker composite.
