<p>Disclosed is a wallboard comprising a gypsum plaster core; and at least one treated paper adhered to a surface of the gypsum plaster core, wherein the treated paper sheet further comprises a paper sheet wherein a surface of the paper sheet treated with a surface treating adhesive comprising water and a latex binder, and wherein the surface of the gypsum plaster core is adhered to the surface of the paper sheet treated with the surface treating adhesive, wherein the latex binder is selected from the group consisting of ethylene polyvinyl acetate, poly(vinyl acetate) (PVOAc) latex, styrene butadiene (SBR), acrylic, vinyl acrylic, and wherein the surface treating adhesive further comprises a mineral filler.</p> |
