<p>Disclosed is a Brassica oleracea plant, comprising a dominant resistance gene to Albugo candida, the cause of white blister, said resistance gene comes from the B. oleracea plant, the seeds of which were deposited on 1 March 2006 in the American Type Culture Collection (ATCC, Patent Depository, 10801 University Boulevard, Manassas, VA 20110, United States of America) under number PTA 74-12, wherein the presence of an introgression with the resistance gene is demonstrated using at least two specific DNA markers chosen from table 1 linked to the resistance gene and wherein the presence of the DNA markers in the genome of the plant is demonstrated using primer sequences chosen from the group consisting of SEQ ID NO: 1 up to and including SEQ ID NO: 10 as defined in table 2.</p> |
