<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for a vehicle that improves drivability during slip control of a lock-up clutch upon starting a vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: The control device for the vehicle is used in a vehicle mounted with a torque converter including a lock-up clutch. When executing slip start control for making the lock-up clutch into a slipping state upon starting a vehicle, an ECU executes feed-forward control and feed-back control so as to make an actual engine rotational speed Ner coincide with a target engine rotational speed Netgt<SB POS="POST">1</SB>.
