<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase data reception efficiency with a reduced load of an arithmetic unit, in a data reception device for receiving frames including variable length data, whose data length is unpredictable at a reception start time, and data indicative of a residual data length. <P>SOLUTION: The data reception device, for receiving frames including the data whose data length is unpredictable at the reception start time and for transferring the frames to a memory device, executes DMA transfer by determining a minimum data length in the frames as a DMA transfer number until the data indicative of the residual data length is transferred. After the data indicative of the residual data length is transferred, the data reception device executes DMA transfer by determining a non-transferred data length, which is calculated based on the data indicative of the residual data length, as the DMA transfer number. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
