The present invention relates to a method for producing ethanol from xyloseusing recombinant Saccharomyces cerevisiae in which the functions of genesrelated to a TOR signaling pathway are lost. Ethanol production yield and productivity have been improved as compared with a control group. The method can produce ethanol in an even higher yield and productivity by additionally removing functions of genes encoding acetaldehyde dehydrogenase by mediating the production of acetic acids which are by-products. |
