<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of efficiently performing a test print with the number of records being smaller than that of all records of variable data printing (VDP). <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 101 has a VDP application 321 which receives a VDP job including a plurality of records, extracts records subjected to a test print by deleting items in which different values are set to all records among the items which are set to the plurality of records included in the VDP job and used for printing, and by grouping records which have the same combination of values set to remaining items, and prints the extracted records according to the received test print instruction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
