[Problem] To provide a configuration which can be easily tuned so as to allow a steering wheel to be stably displaced forward in a secondary collision, which can be reduced in size and cost, and in which a separation load can be reduced and stabilized. [Solution] A column-side bracket (12b) and an engagement capsule (53), both of which are formed from metallic plates, are joined and affixed to each other by welding. A pair of left and right eaves sections (56) is provided to both left and right ends of the engagement capsule (53) through rising sections (55), respectively. Both side portions of an engagement cutout (45) are engaged, by means of a part of a metallic plate which forms a vehicle body-side bracket (11), between the lower surfaces of the eaves sections (56) and the upper surface of the column-side bracket (12b) so that both the side portions can be separated in a secondary collision. |
