<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting device which is excellent on workability at the time of component replacement of a light source unit. <P>SOLUTION: A backlight as a lighting device includes an LED board 52 with a primary surface 52a and a plurality of light source units 21p, 21q, and 21r. Each light source unit includes a light guide plate 22 for guiding light to the front of the primary surface 52a and a fixing pin 31 which is installed in the light guide plate and fixes the light guide plate 22 on the LED board 52. The plurality of light source units 21p, 21q, and 21r are arranged on the primary surface 52a of the LED board so as to cover up the fixing pin 31 of one light source unit (for example, the light source unit 21p) by the light guide plate 22 of the adjacent light source unit 21 (for example, the light source unit 21q).
