NAVIGATION DEVICE, CONTROL METHOD, PROGRAM, AND MEMORY MEDIUM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation device capable of positively presenting useful information to a user while restricting unnecessary functions when the user drives in an area whose road conditions he/she knows very well.

SOLUTION: The navigation device includes setting means for setting an output mode to either of a route guidance mode which outputs destination related information by distance or time related to a destination and a guidance on a guidance point or a well-known road mode which does not output on a guidance point when the user is on a road which he/she has used, and information output means for outputting destination related information and a guidance on a guidance point when the output mode is set to the route guidance mode. The information output means does not output a guidance on a guidance point and displays destination related information in a display form different from that of the route guidance mode when the well-known road mode is set.
