<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bill dispenser which is configured to convey a bill bidirectionally through a bill conveyance path including a bill discrimination part, and has the bill conveyance path simply constituted and also has a temporary storage box and respective other storage boxes simply constituted, and is less jammed with not only Japanese Yen bills, but also bills of various sizes. <P>SOLUTION: The bill dispenser is so configured as to convey a bill bidirectionally through the bill conveyance path 501b passing through the bill discrimination part 30. The bill conveyance path 501b is driven in a first conveyance direction in money receiving and counting operation to convey a received bill from a money reception/payment opening 20 to the temporary storage box 40 via the bill discrimination part and in paying operation to convey a paid bill from a bill storage box 60 etc., to the money reception/payment opening via the bill discrimination part. The bill conveyance path 501b is driven in a second conveyance direction opposite to the first conveyance direction in money receiving operation to store the bill stored in the temporary storage box in the bill storage box 60 etc., after the transaction is completed.
