The arrangement (10) has UV lamps (34) with a hardening region (32), which is formed of hardening paint (14) applied on a vehicle body (28) to be painted and hardened by UV light. The hardening region is impinged with inert gas e.g. argon. A mixing region (12), lines (22), an atomization device (24), an application region (26), a passage region (30) and a drying region (36) of the arrangement in addition to the hardening region for treating the vehicle body and/or the paint are impinged with the inert gas.
