<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spectrum detection device and method capable of detecting TV signals of an extremely low power level even at a low SNR. <P>SOLUTION: Second signals are obtained by filtering first signals by a filter having passing characteristics in a specified frequency band, sliding correlation of third signals obtained by performing conversion to digital values and reference signals having periodicity similar to detection object signals is calculated, and the sliding correlation is partially re-calculated using the range of a sliding value for which obtained respective correlation values become almost maximum. The time offset of the third signals is estimated using the range of the sliding value for which the obtained respective correlation values become almost maximum, time offset correction is performed using the time offset to obtain fourth signals, and fifth signals for which buffering is executed are obtained. Correlation with the reference signals is calculated to obtain sixth signals, and comparison with a threshold value is performed to determine the presence/absence of the detection object signals. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
