<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent skew of a small-sized medium such as a card when the medium is introduced from an ejection opening. <P>SOLUTION: An image reader is provided with: an introduction opening through which a first medium is introduced; an ejection opening through which the first medium is ejected; image reading means which is provided at the conveyance path of the first medium from the introduction opening to the ejection opening and reads an image of the first medium; conveyance means which conveys the first medium from the introduction opening to the ejection opening, and in order to read an image of a second medium smaller in width than the first medium by the image reading means, conveys the second medium introduced from the ejection opening to the image reading means; and a regulation wall part which is provided along the conveyance direction of the second medium so as to oppose the across-the-width lateral surface of the second medium and guides the second medium introduced from the ejection opening, along the conveyance path. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
