<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a redox flow battery (RF battery) which can detect electrolyte leakage early, an RF battery system, and an RF battery frame and an RF battery cell stack which are suitable for the constituent members of the battery. <P>SOLUTION: The RF battery includes: a cell stack 10A composed of a cell having a membrane interposed between a positive electrode and a negative electrode and a frame 1A having a bipolar plate 121, the cell and the frame 1A alternately laminated one on top of another; and a leakage sensor 20 which detects an electrolyte leaking from the cell stack 10A. The frame 1A, provided on a periphery more outer than a seal member 127, includes a liquid storing groove 2 for collecting an electrolyte leaking over the seal member 127 and a draining groove 3 which is disposed continuously to the liquid storing groove 2 to gather the electrolyte in the liquid storing groove 2 and drain it to the outside of the frame 1A. Since an electrolyte leaking over the seal member 127 is temporarily collected in the liquid storing groove 2 and then collectively drained by the draining groove 3, the RF battery can detect leakage earlier with the leakage sensor 20. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
