<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pump that prevents a buffer from moving in an axial direction when a support shaft vibrates. <P>SOLUTION: The pump 1 includes: a stator 17 with a coil; a rotor 18 with a plurality of magnetic poles; an impeller 3 that rotates with the rotor 18 to supply a liquid; the support shaft 23 around which the rotor 18 and the impeller 3 rotate; a pump chamber 2 in which the rotor 18 and the impeller 3 are housed; a casing that forms the pump chamber 2; a shaft retainer 12 provided in the casing, and fixing and retaining an end part 24 in an axial direction of the support shaft 23 in the casing; and a buffer 30 to be interposed between an outer circumference 25 of the end part 24 of the support shaft 23 and the shaft retainer 12.
