PURPOSE: A pixel and a CMOS image sensor using the same are provided to have high adaptability about external environments by adjusting optical sensitivity according to the amount of external light. CONSTITUTION: A photo diode(410) generates optical charges by sensing external light. A transmission transistor(420) transfers the optical charges to a floating diffusion node according to a transmission optical charge. A reset transistor(430) resets the floating diffusion node according to a reset control signal. A signal transfer circuit unit outputs an electrical signal based on the voltage of the floating diffusion node by a selection signal. A capacitor(450) is connected between a voltage adjusting unit and the photo diode.
