<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of improving luminance in three-dimensional display in a liquid crystal display device adopting a system for forming a parallax barrier by one of two liquid crystal display panels and switching between two-dimensional display and three-dimensional display. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device includes a first liquid crystal display panel LCD1 displaying an image, a second liquid crystal display panel LCD2 arranged on the rear surface side of the first liquid crystal display panel and displaying a parallax barrier pattern between a transmission region and a light shielding region, and a backlight device BLU arranged on the rear surface side of the second liquid crystal display panel and emitting backlight. The liquid crystal display device further includes a first SP wave reflecting plate BEM1. The first SP wave reflecting plate is arranged between the first liquid crystal display panel and the second liquid crystal display panel and reflects the backlight corresponding to the light shielding region of the backlight penetrating the second liquid crystal display panel to the second liquid crystal display panel. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
