PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molded article and a high-strength member excellent in mechanical strength.

SOLUTION: The molded article contains a phenol resin (A) and a fiber (B). The weight-average fiber length of the fiber (B) is in the range of 1-50 mm. In the fiber length distribution of the fiber (B), the ratio L90/L50 of the fiber length L90 at a weight accumulation of 90% to the fiber length L50 at a weight accumulation of 50% from a short fiber length side is 2 or less.
