<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a PET-MRI apparatus capable of suppressing image quality degradation of MR images due to influence of a PET detector. <P>SOLUTION: In the PET-MRI apparatus 100 according to an embodiment, a magnetostatic field magnet 1 which is a continuous structure generates a magnetostatic field within a cylindrical bore. Also, a first detection unit 13a and a second detection unit 13b are formed in a ring shape, and detect gamma rays emitted from positron emitting nuclides administered to a subject. Then, the first detection unit 13a and the second detection unit 13b are positioned with a gap therebetween in the axial direction of the bore such that the magnetic field center of the magnetostatic field is sandwiched therebetween. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
