A communication device (100) may store a codebook table including a plurality of codebook entries, wherein each codebook entry includes predefined precoder values for each of at least two transmit paths of a transmission channel (300). On the basis of channel state information describing the transmission channel (300), the communication device (100) identifies that one of the codebook entries, whose precoder values approximate a perfect precoding matrix for beamforming transmit signals at best among the codebook entries. The communication device ( 100) may transmit information about the identified codebook entry to another device with which the communication device (100) establishes a communication link. The other device may use the information to construct a precoding matrix for beamforming its transmit signals.
