<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for distillation-purifying an α-hydrogen-having aldehyde, by which the production of high boiling point compounds by aldol condensation during heating is controlled to purify the aldehyde without lowering recovery. <P>SOLUTION: The method for purifying the α-hydrogen-having aldehyde comprises adding and stirring an adsorbent (preferably an inorganic synthetic adsorbent or a solid carrier bound scavenger consisting mainly of Mg, Al and Si) to a crude reaction solution containing the α-hydrogen-having aldehyde (7-octen-1-al or the like), to bring the side reaction acceleration substances contained in the crude reaction solution into contact with the adsorbent to thereby adsorb and remove the substances, and then distillation-purifying the crude reaction solution to obtain the α-hydrogen-having aldehyde. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
