<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing device that sets a coefficient of an edge preservation type smoothing filter based on statistical information relating to brightness, and prevents increase in circuit size and processing time. <P>SOLUTION: An image processing device 10 comprises: a filter processing part 40 that carries out processing of an edge preservation type smoothing filter for preserving and smoothing an edge of input image data 200, and outputs a signal based on the image data after the processing; a statistical analysis part 20 that performs statistical analysis of the input image data 200, and outputs statistical information 202 relating to brightness; and a coefficient setting part 30 that sets a coefficient of the edge preservation type smoothing filter based on the statistical information 202. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
