<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lubricate a sliding part between a drive shaft and a bearing, even when supply of lubricating oil by an oil supply mechanism is stopped, in a rotary compressor. <P>SOLUTION: This rotary compressor includes a casing (11), an electric motor (50) stored in the casing (11), a drive shaft (40) extending in the substantially vertical direction from the electric motor (50), a compression mechanism (20) driven by the drive shaft (40) to compress fluid, at least one bearing portion (22d, 32) for supporting the drive shaft (40), an oil supply mechanism (30) for pumping up the lubricating oil gathered in a bottom part (11a) of the casing (11) to bearing clearances (27 and 47) between the bearing portions (22d, 32) and the drive shaft (40), and oil reserving portions (26, 46, 46') forming oil storage spaces (S1, S2, S2') communicating with the bearing clearances (27, 47) above the bearing clearances (27, 47). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
