<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ceiling fan that prevents electric power consumption caused by a lighting operation of a luminaire while the luminaire is not installed on the ceiling fan. <P>SOLUTION: A connection state of the luminaire 108 is determined by a microcomputer 2 on the basis of an operating state of a light driving device 110 and the brightness of an illuminance sensor 1, and the light driving device 110 is turned off when the luminaire 108 is not connected.
