<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a print management server which determines print propriety to a print request from a terminal unit, and permits print to an authorized terminal unit. <P>SOLUTION: The print management server 5 can mutually communicate with a client terminal unit 3 and printer 9 through a network, and manage print in the printer 9. The print management server 5 associates a user name which is a user's identifier and an IP (Internet Protocol) address of the terminal unit with print history in the printer 9 and records them as print management information. The print management server 5 refers to print management information, determines print propriety of print data based on the user name contained in print data received from the client terminal unit 3 and the IP address acquired from the client terminal unit 3, and when determination is successful, makes the printer 9 print the print data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
