PURPOSE: A display panel and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to increase the amount of photo resists for forming a spacer, thereby obtaining uniformity of the spacer. CONSTITUTION: A second substrate includes a second base substrate, a color filter(220), a dummy color filter(222), and a common electrode. The dummy color filter connects separated color filters. The dummy color filter has a width narrower than the width of the color filter. The common electrode is formed on the second base substrate on which the color filter and the dummy color filter are formed. A spacer(240) is formed between a first substrate and the second substrate. The spacer corresponds to the dummy color filter.
