WATER TREATMENT FACILITIES

PURPOSE: A water treating apparatus is provided to efficiently reduce biological oxygen demands and to eliminate suspended solid, total nitrogen, and total phosphorus by implementing a biological treating process and a physical filtering process. CONSTITUTION: A water treating apparatus includes a bio-membrane contacting bath(1). The bio-membrane contacting bath is filled with granular bio-membrane media(6) and bulky bio-membrane media. The bulky bio-membrane media is selected from a porous expandable resin, woven fabric or non-woven fabric, and rope. Pores are connected in the porous expandable resin. Ciliate is formed at one side of the woven fabric or non-woven fabric. Fiber is protruded from the rope. Introduced water is treated through layers based on the granular bio-membrane media and the bulky bio-membrane media. The bio-membrane contacting bath includes a membrane exfoliating unit(12). The membrane exfoliating unit exfoliates bio-membranes attached on the granular bio-membrane media and the bulky bio-membrane media.
