摘要 PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing a mold based on a shape and thickness adjustable pre-form and a porous oxide mold manufactured by the same are provided to improve the porous bulk material characteristic of metals with high melting points. CONSTITUTION: A polymer-based porous pre-form is prepared. The surface of the porous pre-form is coated with a polymer-based coating material. The surface coated porous pre-form is immersed in oxide slurry to form an immersed product. The immersed product is thermally treated to eliminate the porous pre-form and the coating material. Pores are formed at the spaces which were occupied by the porous pre-form and the coating materials in order to obtain porous oxide. The porous oxide is sintered. The porous pre-form is based on thermoplastic resin containing polystyrene. The coating material is one of polymer containing wax, rubber, or polyurethane.
