PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for inserting powder are provided to reduce time and manpower for inserting powder by automating whole process for inserting the powder into a tank. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus and a method for inserting powder comprises a powder inserting unit(106) for inserting powder into a tank(108). The powder inserting unit comprises at least one chemical solution spray unit. The chemical solution spray unit sprays circulating chemical solution circulating from the tank to the powder inserting unit. The powder inserting unit comprises a powder inlet and a powder measuring unit. The powder inlet accommodates powder inserted from the outside. The powder measuring unit is connected with the powder inlet at the bottom of the powder inlet and measures the inserted powder.
