METHOD FOR CONTROLLING OF EXHAUST TEMPERATURE IN INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE

PURPOSE: A method for controlling temperature of exhaust gas of an internal combustion engine is provided to improve the fuel efficiency by controlling the temperature of a ventilation and utilizing the exhaust temperature model even an error of a temperature sensor is occurred. CONSTITUTION: A method for controlling temperature of exhaust gas of an internal combustion engine is as follows. A factor, which influences the temperature of the exhaust gas is detected. Temperature data of the exhaust gas according to the factor is mapped and a exhaust temperature modeling table is set(S10). The temperature of the exhaust gas is detected by a temperature sensor (S12). A factor value is measured and the temperature data of the exhaust gas responding to the factor value is searched in the exhaust temperature modeling table(S14). The measured temperature of the exhaust gas is compared with the searched temperature data of the exhaust gas. If a difference between two values is within an allowable error range, the temperature sensor is determined as a normal operation state and the measured temperature by the temperature sensor is set as a reference temperature for controlling fuel quantity.(S20) Discharge temperature data of the discharge temperature modeling table is updated by using the measured discharge temperature data.
