PURPOSE: A latency reduction associated with a response in a storage system is provided to reduce latency related to response about recording and reading request. CONSTITUTION: A host device(102) generates a recording request. A storage of a first type is related to the host device. A storage of a second type is related to the host device. A storage virtualization engine(132) performs virtual volume segmentation in an active area in the storage of the first type.
