The present device is related to an electronic fixture which allows programming a predetermined time-interval from the exterior according to a specific software prepared therefor. The time-interval is executed after this is activated by an electrical energy drive, after which this signal is transmitted to an ignition element or to another charge that requires to be activated. The present device further includes polarity correction circuits and voltage surge regulators. The programmable time-interval generator, comprises a pair of input terminals for receiving electrical energy, and a pair of energy storing devices for the microcontrolling circuit and for the trip system. The device includes an oscillating circuit for generating time pulses, and a transducer for coupling the microcontroller output with the switch, the trip circuit capacitor and the charge to be activated. The time-interval programming is performed from the exterior on the microcontroller by means of machine code commands (logical binary). The output terminals of the programmable time-interval generator, are connected to the ignition device which is protected by a plastic sleeve and includes inner resistance means covered by a pyrotechnic mass. The ignition device is activated with the passage of the electrical current after programmed time-interval, therefore igniting the detonator explosive charges. The use of the Programmable Time-Interval Generator associated to a detonator, is mainly related to the mining industry and civil engineering construction, for land displacement in underground and superficial blasts. Because programming a time-interval is achieved prior to its final use, there are further advantages such as keeping in stock a single product and a higher precision of the output sequences of drills.
