FIELD: information technology. ^ SUBSTANCE: method of routing virtual links in a frame-switching network, having a plurality of source terminals and/or destination of the frames, frame switches being connected to each other through physical connections. Each virtual link is defined, for a point-to-point type, by a path through the network between a source terminal and a destination terminal and, for a multipoint type, by a plurality of paths through the network between a source terminal and a plurality of destination terminals, and carries out routing of the links by minimising at least one cost function on a set of solutions which satisfy at least one given topologic constraint. ^ EFFECT: providing a systematic and automatic routing process where all routing constraints are considered and which enable to safely use an optimised network. ^ 25 cl, 11 dwg |
