<p>The invention discloses a method, system and device for detecting the connectivity between two points of a multicast forwarding tree, relates to the network communication technology, and utilizes multicast ping to detect the connectivity between a multicast source and each node in a multicast group. The method of the invention comprises the following steps: the multicast source sends a multicast detection request message; after receiving the multicast detection request message, an intermediate node forwards the message according to a routing table and further returns a unicast detection response message to the multicast source when the existence of direct connected multicast receiving users is confirmed, thus the multicast source can realize the connectivity detection on the multicast groups. As an one-to-many way is used to perform the connectivity detection between two points of the multicast forwarding tree, the point-to-point fault detection on each node can be avoided, the workload of the respective multicast source for performing the connectivity detection to the multicast group nodes can be reduced, and the operation complexity can be lowered.</p> |
