The present invention relates to a food composition containing red yeast rice and a manufacturing method therefor and can be used for reducing cholesterol levels in a body due to meat intake, by including red yeast rice which contains monacolin K as a cholesterol synthesis inhibiting material. In particular, the invention can be used for making a hamburger, wherein a hamburger patty including red yeast rice can be useful for promoting human health by reducing cholesterol levels in the body.
