<p>The invention discloses a system and method for transmitting multipage multimedia messages, a Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) terminal (10) and a multimedia message proxy server (20). Wherein, the system comprises the SIP terminal (10) and the multimedia message proxy server (20); the SIP terminal (10) is set to implement conversation consultation and media consultation with the multimedia message proxy server (20) through a SIP protocol and a Session Description Protocol (SDP), and to establish a Message Session Relay Protocal (MSRP) transmission channel with the multimedia message proxy server (10); and the multipage multimedia messages between the SIP terminal (10) and the multimedia message proxy server (20) are transmitted through the MSRP transmission channel. The invention overcomes the disadvantage that the self-defined private protocol adopted in the prior art does not have character of standardization and intercommunity is overcome, so the communication protocol between the SIP terminal (10) and the multimedia message proxy server (20) has character of standardization, intercommunity and normalization.</p> |
