<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a burial method of radioactive waste which blocks ground water that wells up from an inner wall of a disposition hole during installation of cushioning material blocks. <P>SOLUTION: The burial method of radioactive waste comprises: a boring step (step S1) of boring a disposition hole for fixedly placing a waste body in which radioactive waste is encapsulated; a covering step (step S2) of covering an inner wall surface of the bored disposition hole with an impervious member; a step (step S3) of installing cushioning material blocks obtained by compacting soil material in the disposition hole whose inner wall surface is covered with the impervious member; and a step (step S4) of removing the impervious member from the disposition hole where the cushioning material blocks are installed. Thus, ground water that wells up from the inner wall of the disposition hole is blocked during installation of the cushioning material blocks. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
