<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a memory system capable of improving a data transfer efficiency by preventing a stop of a data transfer. <P>SOLUTION: Devices (15, 16) are controlled by a command having a retransmission flag in an argument. The devices (15, 16) indicate that the command is not executed by making no response. The devices (15, 16) indicate continuation of processing in execution by making normal response if the command is being executed in cases where the command can be recognized and in cases where the retransmission flag included in the argument of the command is set. The devices (15, 16) determine validity of the argument of the command in cases where the retransmission flag is set and the command is not executed, or in cases where the retransmission is not set. The devices (15, 16) indicate that the command is executed by making normal response in cases where the argument is correct.
