<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user not to change a screen direction of a display 30 only by holding a portable telephone 10 in a specific state. <P>SOLUTION: A portable telephone 10 includes a display 30 and an acceleration sensor 40. A screen direction of the display 30 is set according to a posture of the portable telephone 10 detected by the acceleration sensor 40. When the portable telephone 10 is vertically held, it is detected by a proximity sensor 42. While the proximity sensor 42 is detecting that the portable telephone 10 is being held in a vertical state, the screen direction of the display 30 is not changed even if the posture of the portable telephone 10 is changed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
