<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce housing deformation without positionally adjusting a hanging fitting in installing the housing. <P>SOLUTION: In a ceiling suspension type housing which includes a housing 2, a hanging bolt 12 hung from a ceiling, a hanging fitting 13 arranged in the side face of the housing and equipped with a through hole through which the hanging bolt pass, and a support fitting 14 which is arranged beneath the hanging fitting and supports the hanging fitting by being connected to the hanging bolt. The housing is installed in the opening of a decorated board 15 beneath the ceiling. The hanging fitting includes a spherical surface section which protrudes toward the ceiling and a through hole in the spherical surface section of the hanging fitting. The support fitting includes a spherical surface section which protrudes toward the ceiling.
