<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such problems: that the conventional air-conditioning apparatus that, upon starting an air-conditioning apparatus by activation of a timer or home control, control is made so that an air blow vane is set in a downward direction or an air volume of a fan is increased, and thus, when a person is actually present in the room, the person has an uncomfortable feeling; and that when a method of detecting no presence of a person by an IR sensor is employed, it is necessary to mount an expensive IR sensor on the apparatus, which increases the cost. <P>SOLUTION: An air-conditioning apparatus includes: a temperature sensor for detecting a heat exchanger temperature or an inlet air temperature; a controller 20 carrying out variable control of directions of an air blow vane of an indoor unit or air flow speeds or volumes of a blower fan; and a remote controller 21 for remotely controlling the operation of indoor unit. Temperatures set by the remote controller 21 are divided into two temperature ranges; and during a heating operation, the controller 20 sets at least the air blow vane to a horizontal or downward direction on the basis of the two set temperature ranges and the heat exchanger temperature or the inlet air temperature. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
