<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tag information management device for facilitating addition of tag information that shows an attribute associated with content data, a tag information management system, a tag information management program, and a tag information management method. <P>SOLUTION: A set-top box 10 extracts existing tag information that is imparted to image data and generates new tag information associated with the existing tag information. The set-top box 10, for example, recognizes an event implemented in a facility of a photographic location at a photographic date and time on the basis of the photographic date and time and a geotag which are existing tag information, to use for generation of the new tag information. The set-top box 10 also recognizes a user as a subject by image recognition processing and uses information on the user for generation of the new tag information.
