<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rear body structure of an automobile which achieves reduction in weight and cost of a rear pillar, and furthermore secures rigidity and strength of a belt anchor attachment part, a retractor attachment part and the like. <P>SOLUTION: In the rear body structure of the automobile, a pillar reinforcement 12 includes: an upper member 13 which has the belt anchor attachment part 13g' and forms a rear door opening 1b by an front edge of the upper member 13 and a back door opening 1a by a rear edge thereof; a first lower member 14 which has a seat back striker attachment part 14c, has an upper edge part 14a and a lower edge part 14b connected to the upper member 13 and an upper edge part 10a of a wheel house 10, respectively, and forms the rear door opening 1b by a front edge of the first lower member 14; and a second lower member 15 which is disposed on the rear side of the first lower member 14, has an upper edge part 15a and a lower edge part 15b connected to the upper member 13 and the upper edge part 10a of the wheel house 10, respectively, and forms the back door opening 1a by a rear edge of the second lower member 15. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
