The roller bearing (1) has an inner (2) and outer (4) bearing race between which are roller bodies (7). A shock-absorber layer (10) is between at least one bearing race (4) and one of the components (5). The bearing race (4) has an outer contour (12) facing the component which has a matching inner contour (13). The outer contour is shaped so that a swinging movement of the bearing or component reaches at most a stop piece, with deformation of the shock-absorbent layer. The gap, filled with elastomeric material, between the bearing ring and component has a constant width. It has covering discs (9), e.g. sealing plug, at the side of the roller bodies to prevent lubricant from coming out.
