<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance transmission efficiency of data by increasing the frame size in a system where a plurality of TS are time-division multiplexed in units of packets to configure a frame added with a header before being transmitted. <P>SOLUTION: The slot assignment unit 11 of the transmitter 1 determines the number of data slots from the number of input TS, determines the number of slots assigned to each TS and the speed subjected to speed conversion, determines whether or not a TS can be transmitted, and generates slot assignment information including the number of TS to be multiplexed, the identification information of the TS and the relative TS number of the TS stored in each slot. A speed conversion unit 10 inserts a null packet into each TS with a speed subjected to speed conversion thus converting the speed. A header generation unit 12 generates a header containing the slot assignment information, and a multiplex unit 13 configures a frame by storing each TS in the data slot based on the slot assignment information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
