<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dishwasher having a high washing performance of various kinds of dishes placed in a dish basket such as glasses and cups while enabling an increase in the costs of the dishwasher to be minimized. <P>SOLUTION: The dishwasher 1 includes: the dish basket 3 for placing the dishes G1, G2, and so on; a washing tank 4 for storing the dish basket 3; a main washing nozzle 5 provided on the bottom part inside the washing tank 4, for spraying washing water to the dishes G1, G2, and so on; and an auxiliary washing nozzle 9 for spraying washing water to the dishes G1, G2, and so on at a position different from the main washing nozzle 5. The auxiliary washing nozzle 9 is attached to the dish basket 3 in such a form that the lowest end position is positioned at the height same as or higher than the lowest end position of the dish basket.
