<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary dresser that reduces a dress resistance by arranging the number of diamond abrasive grains on a circumference, and also maintains the shape accuracy of a dresser over a long period of time by preventing an eccentric wear. <P>SOLUTION: The rotary dresser includes a roll 11 with an outer peripheral surface comprising a circular arc or a slope having a different diameter of an axial position, and a large number of diamond abrasive grains 12 embedded in an outer peripheral surface of the roll.
