<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transfer device able to restrain occurrence of paper wrinkle even in a case where a conductive tube is used as the surface layer of a transfer roller, and to provide an image forming apparatus with the same. <P>SOLUTION: A transfer device 20 comprises; a transfer roller 21 having a surface layer 24 formed from a conductive tube and used to transfer a toner image on the image carrier 125 in a transfer nip TN onto a paper P; a first drive source M1 used to rotate the image carrier 125 at a first rotation speed V1; a second drive source M2 used to rotate the transfer roller 21 at a second rotation speed V2; a basis weight acquisition part 50 used to acquire a paper basis weight indicating the weight of the paper P per unit area; and a control part U used to control the first and second drive sources M1 and M2 based on the paper basis weight. The control part U controls either one of the first and second drive sources M1 and M2 so as to cause a speed difference between the first rotation speed V1 of the image carrier 125 and the second rotation speed V2 of the transfer roller 21. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
