PURPOSE: A method and a mobile communication unit for providing a supplementary service according to a communication event at receiving a call in a mobile communication unit are provided to improve the user convenience when using an additional service. CONSTITUTION: A memory unit(15) stores additional service guide information for guiding each kind of additional services to a user, wherein the guide information is provided from a mobile communication system. If an anonymous reception voice call generation event or a caller ID reception voice call generating event occurs, a control unit(11) provides the stored additional service guide information to a user in correspondence to the generated event. If an additional service is selected according to the provided additional service guide information, the control unit request from the mobile communication network system the provision of the selected additional service.
